Call you friends, and cancel everything you had planned for Friday 27th July and get ready to binge view the entire season in one go. Of course, you could use your Foxtel IQ to record the episodes and watch them at your own pace.

The last season of the show focused a three day prison riot at Litchfield Penitentiary, which was different to the previous seasons of the show.

Little has been said about what happens in the new season of the show, but there have been some hints that the action could be moving away from the minimum security prison and relocating the maximum security. It could be a way for the show to introduce a whole bunch of new crazy characters.

The show recently revealed new opening titles which have slight changes from previous years including shots of maximum security cells where prisoners are locked in at night with a bunk bed in each cell. There is also shots of the shower room where prisoners can be handcuffed to the wall while taking a shower.

The show had a lot of new writers coming on board for the new season, only two members of the writing team from last season are still with the program.

One thing we do know is that Bull actor Renecca Knox is joining the show playing an inmate. Knox has described her character Tina Swope as a “tough little thing” who “knows what she wants and she will do whatever it takes to get it.”

Orange is the New Black returns on Friday 27th July 2018.
