Bloom announces new tour celebrating Linda Ronstadt

Local musician Bloom impressed audiences with her performances that paid tribute to the music of Adele, now she’s touring a new show which celebrates the music of Linda Ronstadt.

Ronstadt was a huge artist in the 1970’s and early 1980’s, and her work traversed a lot of different styles and genres. Over her long career she released over 30 albums and was known for her interpretations of other songwriters tunes.

As it will be 40 years since Ronstadt first toured Australia in February 1979 Bloom thought this was a good time to pay tribute to her musical legacy.

Expect to hear tracks that made up the 1979 tour set list including timeless hits as Blue Bayou, When Will I Be Loved, It’s So Easy, When Something Is Wrong With My Baby, That’ll Be The Day, Just One Look, Back In The U.S.A, Poor Poor Pitiful Me and many more.

Bloom says she has a feverish connection with the decades of the 60’s and 70’s and has a strong urge to bring Linda Ronstadt and the music that is her legacy to the future generations, embracing and reinvigorating Linda’s rich musical history and the architecture she has left on the music industry.

Ronstadt was forced to retire from singing in 2009 as a result of Parkinson’s disease. Subsequently, Bloom is lending her voice with this tour to help raise awareness of Parkinson’s disease supporting the Shake It Up Australia Foundation’s quest to find a cure.

“I am very honoured to be an ambassador for Shake It Up Australia,” says Bloom. “I not only get to perform the songs of one of my all-time favourite artists, Linda Ronstadt, but at the same time raise funds and awareness for Parkinson’s disease in a hope to find better treatments and ultimately a cure for Australian’s and their families living with Parkinson’s”.

The massive tour kicks off in 2019
