Canadian playwright Kat Sandler’s supernatural thriller is being brought from the stage to the screen with a star-studded cast.
Yaga follows the story of Rapp, a private investigator investigating the dissapearance of wealthy commercial fishery heir, Henry Park.
Along the way, Rapp meets local detective Carson and university professor Katherine, as the investigation descends into darkness as they uncover ancient magic and mysterious suspects.
The series stars Schitt’s Creek‘s Noah Reid as Rapp, The Matrix icon Carrie-Anne Moss as Katherine and Heated Rivalry‘s Hudson Williams as Henry Park.
The cast also includes Ezra Franky, Patrick Gilmore, Shiela McCarthy, Megan Follows and Clark Backo as Carson.
The series and the original play delves into the myth of Baba Yaga, a character in European folklore who is known for her fierce or disgusting looks – and her penchant for eating children.
