Mary Kiani
Little Things Mean a Lot

EMI Australia

Scottish singer Mary Kiani returns with an album of jazz classics. In the ‘90s Kiani provided the vocals for a stack of club hits but has now jumped across genres for this more mature effort. It’s a standard selection of classics including It ‘Aint Necessarily So, Georgia on my Mind, Sunny , That Old Black Magic and many others. While Kiani’s voice is fine and the big band behind her is competent there are no surprises here at all. Disappointingly predictable, there is nothing to make this collection stand out from the crowd.
