Cub Sport release new song 'Sometimes' ahead of overseas tour

Aussie band Cub Sport have released a new song Sometimes. The song will be included on their third album which is expected to come out in 2019.

Sometimes is an upbeat, pop anthem bursting with a confident new energy from the Brisbane 4-piece. Described as “a high-impact, emotional pop banger” the band say the tune is a fearless step forward while still capturing the uniquely vulnerable writing and vocal delivery that saw the group reach new heights on their 2017 album BATS.

Their last album was a deeply personal record chronicling lead singer Tim Nelson’s journey of coming out and admitting his love for fellow band member Sam Netterfield.

The pair told Triple J last year that they’d been friends since their youngsters and both had very religious upbringings.

“I grew up so homophobic, out of fear of not being the person that I was kind of taught that I should be” Tim said. The couple were married earlier this year and their families have been supportive of their relationship.

Cub Sport are about to head off on an international tour that will see them heading to London, before a series of dates in Canada and the USA.

Take a listen to their new song.
