Cut Copy Return

CutCopy credit Asger CarlsenElectronic outfit Cut Copy have just released their new single ‘Let Me Show You’.

The track is the first cut from their forthcoming album ‘Free Your Mind’. The album will be the band’s fourth major release.

The album was recorded in Melbourne by the bands front man Dan Whitford. The group then headed to upstate New York to have it mixed by Dave Fridmann who also worked on recent albums for MGMT, Tame Impala and The Flaming Lips.

The band have been doing some creative things to promote the new album. At the Pitchfork music festival they created a unique 120 vinyl copies of the single for fans. Watch the video below, where YouTube User debaser22 listens to the record for the first time.

The band also set up six billboards around the world. The billboards were in Australia, the UK, Chile, Mexico City, Detroit and the California Desert. When fans were near one of the billboards they could listen to the single on their smart phone. Head to the bands website to see footage of all the billboards in operation.
