A screen adaptation of the Olivier-award winning play by Suzie Miller is one of the highlights at this year’s Russell Hobbs British Film Festival.

Directed by Susanna White, the story follows Cynthia Erivo as Tessa, a fierce, talented and ambitious defence barrister, who claims to see the law as a game to be won.
After building a career on defending powerful men from sexual assault charges, Tessa is attacked by a colleague, which leaves her reeling from both the violent assault and her past actions in the courtroom.
As she is undermined by the same tactics she has used against other victims, Tessa begins to question her faith in the law and justice.

Erivo is joined on the cast by The Crown star Harry Treadaway, Daniel Ings, Noma Dumazweni, Toheeb Jimoh and BAFWA award winner Russell Beale.
The film is screening as part of the Russell Hobbs British Film Festival at Luna Cinemas, which runs from 5 November – 6 December.
