Demi Lovato recovering after sudden hospital admission

Pop star Demi Lovato is reported to be recovering after a being admitted to hospital on Tuesday evening.

CNN are reporting that Lovato was taken to receive medical care due to a suspected overdose.

“Demi is awake and with her family, who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support,” a representative for Lovato told media.

“Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.”

Back in March, the bisexual artist revealed she was marking six years of sobriety, having struggled with substance abuse in the past.

The 25-year-old Cool For The Summer singer is said to be “stable, conscious and breathing.”
