Drag king makes history as part of ‘Drag Race España’ season six cast

Culture

The upcoming season of Drag Race España will make history for the series and the Drag Race franchise, as a full-time drag king is set to compete for the first time.

While Valencian king Marcus Massalami will be the first king to walk into a Drag Race werkroom, Canada’s Drag Race season six contestant Velma Jones also took on some challenges as her king persona, Johnny Jones.

The performer, who is also known as an actor, violinist and nurse, will be up against 11 queens in a fiery new season of the Spanish spin-off competition.

Alex Marteen, Alma DeSoul, Buba Anorex, Coco Luna, Joan Chevalier, Kim Miller, Liak, Liz Dust, Maitetxu Mia, Sorny and Vanessa Artiles will join Marcus to face off for the crown.

Who will join Carmen Farala, Sharonne, Pitita, Le Coco and Satin Greco in the España winners circle?

Drag Race España premieres 27 September 2026.
