The Yardbirds, Cream, Blind Faith, Derek and the Dominos… sound familiar? These names are synomous with Eric Clapton – a God to some (fans), a sinner to others (law) – has just released a compilation of his work that spans nearly four decades. At 62, this Grammy Award winner serves us on a golden plate such timeless gems as Presence of the Lord; Tears in Heaven; Ride the River; White Room and Layla. His preferred nickname is ‘slowhand’ but that is not evident on his amazing guitar solos, which feature quite prominently on this album.
