Cabaret performer Cassidy deliver the world premiere performance of her show Erotic Intelligence for Dummies last night and it was sensational fun.

The show begins with Cassidy welcoming the filled to capacity audience, who were tightly packed in to the performance space just off the Northbridge Piazza.

An updated version of Cole Porter’s Lets Do It, Lets Fall In Love opens thew show before Cassidy takes on a journey to her earliest sexual experiences.

At the beginning of this show I wasn’t sure where we were going, or if it was going to be any good, but 10 minutes in – Cassidy had us under her spell.

A look across the world of nature highlighted some of the more extreme sexual practices that occur. By comparison human sexuality suddenly seemed quite tame.

The show was laugh-out-loud funny and moved a log at a good pace. Like most Fringe shows there was an element of audience participation and Cassidy hit the jackpot with the three impromptu performances she elicited from the floor.

Catering to a heterosexual, homosexual, asexual, bisexual, BDSM, polyamorous, swinger crowd, Cassidy had a place for everyone in her all embracing grouple.

The show is peppered with sing-a-long moments and covers a lot of ground in just an hour.  With great comic timing, an eclectic bunch of skills and clever props and costumes, this simple show was firing on all cylinders.

Erotic Intelligence for Dummies is on as part of Fringe World
