FRANKIE KNUCKLES presents. His Greatest Hits from Trax Records Central Station

Frankie KnucklesFrankie’s stamp on modern music is not to be underestimated – he’s the man who, with the Trax label and the many others that worked with it such as Robert Owens, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Mr Lee, Adonis, Ralphie Rosario, Fast Eddie and the like, helped define the house sound. The joy of this collection is that in addition to his own tracks both his production work and mixing examples are on display. This compilation, with tracks like Let The Music Use You, Move Your Body, Your Love and Baby Wants To Ride, is a fine example of the emergence of true house as nearly all the tracks here were either done during ’86 or ’87.
