Last month a plaque was discovered at London’s Kensal Green cemetery. The plaque read “In Loving Memory of Farrokh Bulsara” and was signed “M”. Farrokh Bulsara was Mercury’s real name.

Cemetery officials can not say how long the plaque had been there, or where it has disappeared to.

At the time of his death in 1991 Mercury was one of the most high profile entertainers to acknowledge he was HIV+. Mercury only formally acknowledged that he was HIV+ hours before his death.
