Graham Norton opens up on The Joel Creasey Show

Graham Norton might be one of the most accomplished celebrity interviewers on the planet, but the tables were turned when he was a guest on Nova’s The Joel Creasey Show.

Speaking to comedian Joel Creasey, Norton shared stories including his surprise appearance in Taylor Swift’s Opalite video, a chaotic stolen prop mishap, and the ongoing wave of fake AI ads and crypto scams using his image. He also recounts the first time he ever met Joel in London.

Norton spoke about his appearance in Taylor Swift’s video and revealed he’d also taken home on of the props from the shoot, but he nearly lost it.

“I did say to her, you know, often in your 60s, you begin to give up on your dream of appearing in a major pop video. But God damn it, don’t give up on your dreams boys! It happened.

“It was what you saw at the end of the video. She shows that clip of the show where Donald Gleason is going, ‘Oh, I’d love to dance in the next Taylor Swift video or something’. Everyone. It was a packed show that night… and she got all of us in her video, and it makes no sense!

“I mean, why are we all in this video? But it was just, you know, for the show, it was such kind of endorsement that she’d enjoyed it so much she wanted to kind of commemorate it in this mad music video.” Norton shared.

Norton also shared that he’d taken home the cleaning spray which was his prop in the clip. He grabbed the spray bottle to show he still had it, but revealed he nearly lost it.

“I stole this from the set. It’s the ‘Nope-alite’ bottle, because there’s Opalite but I was the salesman for ‘Nope-alite’ and I stole this. And I was delighted with myself, because, you know, what an amazing memory to have. I came home one day and I opened the bin, and that was in there. The cleaner had thrown it away. Just thought it was an empty bottle of cleaner. I was like ‘Noooooooo!’”
