Who would win in a battle of strength, stamina and wits between radio host and podcaster Mitch Churi and socialite, model and actor Christian Wilkins?
That’s one of the questions being asked in the new season of Australian Survivor, which has announced its next instalment will be titled Rivals.
Two evenly matched tribes will hit the beaches of Malaysia, with each player facing off against someone on the opposing tribe who possesses similar strengths, physicality, intelligence, determination and charisma.
To win the half-million-dollar prize, the castaways will not only have to outwit, outplay and outlast the other players, but also overcome their designated rival to claim the title of Sole Survivor.
It’s League versus Union as rugby players Robbie Farah and Adam Ashley-Cooper go head-to-head, while AFL legends Heath Shaw and Adam Cooney reignite their famous Collingwood-versus-Essendon rivalry.
Twin interior designers Alisa Fraser and Lysandra Fraser from The Block will put their sibling bond to the ultimate test, while Olympic medallists Kerri Pottharst and Danielle Scott pit Summer and Winter Games experience against each other.
Athletes Sharni Layton and Sarah Yatim bring their competitive spirit to the island, while two leading lawyers swap the courtroom for the ultimate game of strategy. Also joining the cast are a pair of vloggers, entertainers and trailblazers, alongside two formidable mothers.
Actors Bernard Curry and Lincoln Lewis bring plenty of drama to the rivalry. Among the contestants are Mitch Churi and Christian Wilkins, who have been labelled “red carpet rivals” by the program.
Mitch Churi is a former KISS FM radio host and well-known podcaster. He previously co-hosted the long-running podcast Is It Just Me? alongside comedian Mitchell Coombs. In 2025, he launched a new podcast, The Mitch Churi Chat Show.
Christian Wilkins, the son of Channel Nine entertainment reporter Richard Wilkins, has built a career in modelling and acting. He is known for challenging traditional gender stereotypes through his fashion choices. Wilkins previously competed on Dancing with the Stars, where he reached the grand final.
The series is scheduled to air on Network 10 in 2027.
