The grants are offered to help improve the health and wellbeing of Australian lesbians and bisexual women by assisting with projects in education or research.

The potential projects should focus on connection to community, identity and expression or mental health – or a combination of those themes.

The selection panel will be looking for relevance to lesbian and bisexual women’s health, relevance to the key themes listed above, quality of research or methodology & design, feasibility of time frame & budget, and evidence of research/educational experience or suitable supervision.

Projects of other types will be considered, but they must be able to be applied on a national level. Overseas members of the ALMA may also submit applications to be considered.

Proposals are due no later than Friday 14th December, and should be sent to gail.ruth@bigpond.comFor more information head to almas.org.au
