If you’re looking for some family friendly Christmas fun, Subiaco is the place to be with an array of exciting and free events on offer.
From outdoor concerts and gingerbread house decorating to artisan markets and a snow slide, there’s a mountain of Christmas events planned.
Led by See Subiaco, Dreaming of a Subiaco Christmas aims to increase vibrancy over the silly season in Subiaco and attract locals and visitors alike to shop and play.
City of Subiaco Mayor Penny Taylor said there was something for everyone across the Christmas period, with the popular turning on of the lights event kicking the festivities off on Thursday 28 November.
“Subiaco has a friendly village feel that lends itself to the magic and whimsy of Christmas, and when you add in our exciting events, unique businesses and free parking on weekends and evenings, it really is the perfect place to spend some time with your loved ones over the holidays,” Mayor Taylor said.
“Whether you’re looking to entertain the kids, get all your gift shopping done in one place, or spend a relaxing summer afternoon listening to live music with a picnic, Subiaco really has it all.”
Businesses are also getting involved in the campaign with the City of Subiaco offering incentives to retailers to dress their windows to impress visitors and get into the holiday spirit.
“It’s so important to the City to showcase our local businesses and that Subiaco is the place to be this Christmas,” Mayor Taylor said.
“There’s a lot of new developments, businesses, eateries and initiatives in Subiaco so if you haven’t stopped by in a while, now’s the time.”
