‘House of the Dragon’ shares its third season trailer

The HBO series will return on 21 June and will contain eight episodes. It has been rumoured that the first three episodes will be released at once, with the remaining five dropping weekly. The show is expected to conclude with its fourth season.

Joining the cast in Season 3 is British actor James Norton, best known for his role in Happy Valley. He will play Ormund Hightower, Lord of Oldtown and cousin to Alicent Hightower.

Fans of the series have had a long wait for the third instalment of the story — the second season made its debut in 2024.

Earlier this year another series set in the world of Westeros made its debut. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms presented a very different type of story: much simpler, contained to one location, and far removed from the sprawling epics that other Game of Thrones shows have become. A second season of this series is expected to arrive in 2027.
