Queer Australian artist Kayla Reay brings Australia’s birdlife to life through playful, story-driven artworks created by hand using coloured pencils. Their work captures the humour, character and charm of some of Australia’s most beloved native birds.
In collaboration with Lonely Kids Club, Reay has created two vibrant designs celebrating both Australian birdlife and the LGBTIQA+ community.

One design features colourful rainbow lorikeets alongside the Pride flag, while another pairs iconic pink-and-white galahs with the transgender flag. Both designs are available on T-shirts in a range of colours.
Founded in 2011 by Warwick after leaving the construction industry to pursue his passion for T-shirts, Lonely Kids Club is an independent Australian label that focuses on ethical production and sustainability. Every shirt is printed by Warwick and his small team in Sydney, without mass production.
Mental health advocacy is also a key part of the brand’s mission. According to the company, every item includes a positive mental health message, and the brand offers a dedicated range of mental health-themed apparel.
