Kylie Minogue has revealed the name of her forthcoming album sending fans into an excited state.

The singer shared on her Twitter account that there would be ‘Golden’ times ahead, leading to speculation that this would be the name of her greatly anticipated new record.

Media reports are suggesting that the first track to be released off the record will be titled Dancing.

The album will be the singer’s first album of new material since 2014 when she released Kiss Me Once. Since then Kylie’s brought out a Christmas record.

To create her fourteenth album Kylie’s been working with a swag of different songwriters and producers including Dj Fresh, Karen Poole and production team The Invisible Men. It’s been suggested the album will incorporate everything from disco to country, as part of the album was recorded in Nashville.

The album also sees Kylie’s return to Mushroom Records, the Australian label where she first began back with Locomotion back in 1987.

Kylie’s lead singles through the years

While Kylie got her start with Locomotion in 1987, the first single released off her debut album was I Should Be So Lucky. There’s also a version of her debut single titled The Loco-motion on the album but it’s a different recording to the one that topped the Australian charts.

Hand on Your Heart was the first single off Kylie’s second album Enjoy Yourself the clip mades its debut on an episode of Hey Hey It’s Saturday. Lo-fi artist JOse Gonzales has also recorded a laid back version of this tune.

Kylie’s third album, and her first that wasn’t entirely produced by production team Stock Aitken Waterman gave us one of her most iconic songs Better the Devil You Know. Rhythm of Love featured four massive hits with Shocked, What Do I Have to Do and Step Back in Time all topping the charts.

Word is Out is probably Kylie’s least successful lead single off an album. It’s the first that failed to crack the UK Top Ten. The accompanying album Lets Get To It still contained a string of hits.

Confide in Me saw Kylie move into a new phase in her career and the album Kylie Minogue included collaborations with M People, Brothers in Rhythm, Pet Shop Boys and Farley & Heller.

Welsh band The Manic Street Preachers wrote Some Kind of Bliss the lead single off Impossible Princess. The album’s biggest hit would be the second single I Did It Again. While this album was huge in Australia, it didn’t fair so well overseas.

Spinning Around the first tune released off Light Years gave Kylie a huge international comeback. The song was written by another well known pop singer. Paula Abdul penned the song alongside one time American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi.

Can’t Get You Out of My Head is a song that lives up to its title. The tune was written by ’90s pop star Cathy Dennis and Rob Davis.  The album Fever is Kylie’s most successful album in the US market.

Slow the lead track from Body Language saw Kylie writhing around with a mountain of scantily clad bodies. Chemical Brothers delivered an amazing remix of this tune.

2 Hearts the first single from Kylie’s tenth album X was hotly anticipated. It was the first release after Kylie took some time off to seek treatment for breast cancer. The song is actually a cover, it was first released by English band Kish Mauve.

Ever since she released All the Lovers, the first single from Aphrodite, Kylie has referred to her fans as “lovers”.

Into the Blue was the first single off Kiss Me One. Kylie surprised her gay fans when she popped up for a impromptu show at The Berresford Hotel in Sydney on the eve of Mardi Gras.
