Laverne Cox to star in Rocky Horror Picture Show

‘Orange Is The New Black’ star Laverne Cox is set to star is Dr Frank-N-Furter in a new TV project set to revive the classic musical, ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’.

The project will be a 2-hour special produced by US TV network Fox, due to be aired in 2016.

Cox, the first trans actress to win an Emmy award, is eager to get into the role made famous on the silver screen by Tim Curry.

The musical celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, first screened on August 1975 in the UK.

No news yet as to who will be playing the scantily-clad Rocky, dammit Janet or Patricia Quinn’s Magenta – but we’re sure that’s just to build antici… oh, you know the rest.
