Urzila Carlson brings new sketch comedy to the ABC

One of Australia’s favourite comedy imports, Urzila Carlson, is launching a chaotic new sketch comedy show on the ABC.

Urzila promises to mash together moments of sharp stand-up comedy with outrageous sketches drawing on the hilarious stories she tells on stage – so you can be sure it’s going to get a bit gay.

Carlson has been a mainstay of the Australian comedy scene for many years, marking numerous comedy festival tours and solo appearances around the nation and the globe.

She has also regularly appeared on Have You Been Paying Attention?, Spicks and Specks, as well as two seasons of The Masked Singer as a main judge.

The comedy star is joined by rising talents Anisa Nandaula, Andy Saunders, Carlo Ritchie and Bron Lewis.

Urzila premieres on ABC, Wednesday 29 April. Check out the first teaser here.
