The couple announced their nuptials had taken place in South Africa, where they had been on holiday. The pair a prominent couple in Singapore where homosexuality remains illegal with colonial era British laws remaining in place.

The couple publicly came out last year, just ahead of the annual pink dot celebrations, which draw attention to the lack of rights for LGBTI people in Singapore.
