The unconfirmed report, which appears on the website ARA News, claims that a man was thrown from the top of a building in the city of Kirkuk in Northern Iraq on Friday.

The man was found to be guilty of being gay and under the regions Sharia Law was executed. First he was thrown from a building and then onlookers threw stones at his dead body as he lay on the ground.

ISIS released footage of the execution, with graphic images showing the man falling to his death. In recent months the terror organisation has reportedly killed many people perceived as being gay via the barbaric practice.

In late May fifteen year old Syrian boy Jamal Nassir al-Oujan was reportedly arrested by ISIS loyal police in the Mayadin city of Deir ez-Zor province. The teenager was found to be guilty of sodomy and was stoned to death.

Earlier in the month another teenager was found to be guilty of sodomy and was thrown from a building in Manbij city in Syria’s northern province.

In April five men were executed in the Iraqi city of Mosul in a similar manner. Two of the men were rteported to be members of ISIS forces while the other three were civilians.

In October 2015 two men, accused of being a homosexual couple, were executed in Syrian province of Deir ez-Zor. On each occasion the organisation released images of the executions.

In June Jessica Sterm from human rights organisation OutRight spoke to ABC News USA about the issue. Stern described the actions of ISIS militants against people who were perceived as being LGBT as part of their continuum of violence against people who don’t subscribe to their world view.

Stern highlighted that just the suggestion that someone is gay can be enough for an execution to be ordered. OutRight has said that it is difficult to ascertain how many LGBT people may have been killed by ISIS forces as media reports are difficult to verify.
