Man on Man – Jemma Retains the Lead

ManOnMan 634x356At the end of four rounds of football tipping Jemma from The Court Hotel has not only maintained her lead, she’s pulled ahead and created a four point gap between herself and her nearest contender, RTRFM’s Paul van Leishout Hunt.

At the other end of the table Connections Nightclub’s Matty Grose has crept up from the bottom of the table. Matty didn’t even put in some tips this week, automatically giving him all the ‘away’ games – which was an improvement on his regular picks.

Here’s an update on the Man on Man competition to date.

The Table

Jemma is in the lead with 28 points having picked 7 out of 9 games in round four. Paul Van Leishout has 24 points, Wayne from Gay Aussie Selfie’s has 23, Ryan Boldison from OUTinPerth and Hannah Conda both have 22, Oskar and his cat Mmrr stand alongside Sophie Joske with 21, Sophie had been slowly rising, but maybe she’s plateaued.

Photographer Claire Alexander has 20, Neil from The Court and fitness guru Sav are equal on 19, DJ TimBee is on 18, while Bree Maddox, Andie Michelle and Barbie Q all have 17 correct. Matty Grose has risen from the bottom of the pile with 16 in total, RyWri has 15 and OUTinPerth Editor Graeme Watson proves the tallying isn’t rigged with a measly 14 correct.

Hawthorn trouncing Fremantle was a surprise this week, 70% of a field had backed the Dockers. Most all picked Richmond over the Western Bulldogs, Hannah Conda picked both games correctly! Port Adelaide was the other up-setter with only Claire, Sophie, BarbieQ, Sav picked that game correctly.

Andie Michelle tested out a new methodology for picking winners this week, she approached random diners in an Orporto Restaurant she was haging out in and asked their advice. It didn’t pay off, we recommend trying Hungry Jacks next round.

Oskar is doing well taking advice each week from his car Mmrr. Mmrr seems to base his recommendations around a love of Kangaroo meat, random purring and feline comradeship.  Sophie explained her decision to back Collingwood stemmed from a black and white wardrobe choice on the day.
