Modular presents.. – Leave them all behind 2 – Modular

Modular Presents..It’s not what you’ve got but how you mix it, and by the sounds of this, Modular know their way around the scene. The mix CD alone has 20 tracks, clocking in at just under an hour. Put on top an equally large second CD (unmixed tracks) and you’re bound to be getting your money’s worth. Familiar tracks are sandwiched between enough remixes, hidden gems, and obscure-us indie-us pop-us to get most people hot and wet. See The Gossip Standing In The Way Of Control. See The Yeah Yeah Yeahs Gold Lion. See a mashed-up Wolfmother Woman (MSTRKRFT remix). See the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and again Cheated Hearts (Peaches Remix). See Love Is All Talk Talk Talk. See Ali Love K Hole. Oh my good god, I could go on like this forever. With Leave Them All Behind 2, Modular records are spoiling us. Few dance compilations this year will offer this breadth and depth of artists, whilst nevertheless refusing Eric Prydz. So, revel in The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, bop about to The Gossip and most certainly dance your tits off to The Presets. Indie and dance have been in bed with each other for a while now, and I suggest you jump in with them, as this is the happy result.
