Nicky and David Beard have spent four years embroiled in the process of bringing children into their family through surrogacy, only to discover one of the mothers had defrauded them.

The Beards must now re-pay fees for the birth of their triplings and after care of the mothers that had already been settled.

The Beards with newborns Kelly, Blake and Lachlan are also dealing with unexpected medical bills of approximately $80,000 due to Lachlan being born prematurely.

The family have launched a crowdfunding page on Givealittle to help with the costs, also appealing to the New Zealand government to help ease the process of bringing the children home.
