Are Public Displays of Affection Offensive?

ABC America has provided an insight into how gay people are received in Mississippi. The hidden camera show ‘What Would You Do’ created a set up in a restaurant where a gay couple show a public display of affection. They then filmed how diners responded to the actors actions.

The show has previously created a scenario where a teen tells his parents that he’s trans* and other scenarios involving the LGBT community including teenage bullying and people reacting to LGBTI people having children.

This time the diners largely have a harsh reaction towards two guys showing affection to each other in public. One groups of teens even begins filming the couple on their mobile phones. While many people quote the bible to defend their actions there is one couple who leaps to support the two guys.
