RuPaul has just announced a new there will be a new entry into the RuPaul’s Drag Race pantheon – this time putting celebrity guests in drag and having them compete for charity.
RuPaul’s Celebrity Drag Race is set to feature main show alums Alyssa Edwards, Nina West, Miss Vanjie, Trixie Mattel and more to transform famous guests into drag stars to compete for prize money that will be donated to a cause of the winner’s choosing.
“Doing drag does not change who you are, it reveals who you are,” RuPaul said of the show.
“I can’t wait for the world to see what happens when our celebrity contestants get all up in drags!”
RuPaul can currently be seen on the BBC, hosting the debut series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK ahead of the fifth season of All Stars and twelfth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race which are set to appear in the coming months.
International adaptations of the show are also coming to Canada and Australia, while Thailand is looking to enter its third year of drag racing.
RuPaul’s Celebrity Drag Race joins the family in 2020.
