You might have noticed a new advertisement for Target which features a catchy version of the Donna Summer disco classic IÂ Feel Love.
Sam Smith teamed up with longtime collaborator Guy Lawrence, who is one half of British outfit Disclosure, to record the track.
The iconic tune was released by Summer in 1977 and is one of the most critically acclaimed disco tracks of all time. It was produced by Giorgio Moroder who would go on to work with Blondie, Phil Oakley, Daft Punk and many others.
Sam Smith’s version probably won’t get the trophy for queerest version of the tune, that honor remains with Bronski Beat and Marc Almond who recorded a version of the song in the mid-1980s.
