Rumour has it The Drag Wars are over. With casualties lying in the thousands (of bitchy text messages), it seems that Perth’s two reigning larger than life queens have ended their respective reigns of terror and have called a truce across the desolate wasteland of the dressing room. Val Nourished and Feminem ‘Stacy’s Mom’ The Future have called an end to their bitch-fest and are now performing together (albeit not at Connections… clearly… hell hasn’t frozen over yet folks). The reason for this sullen truce? Is it possibly because Feminem has aged another year and plain forgotten, as old ladies do? Nope. Simple truth? There’s apparently no other talent worth working with. Apparently.

Speaking of drag queens, Sandy Beaches got her mankini on through the streets of Thailand recently. There is more to that story, but I think the image of Sandy in a mankini riding a scooter through Thailand is more than enough for the moment. Wanna know what happened next? Email me at mother@www.outinperth.com for the full story.

Easter kicks off with the vivacious Kitty Glitter kicking out the tunes at Connections Nightclub on Easter Thursday, April 1. Direct from her slamming residency at ARQ nightclub in Sydney, Ms Glitter is a drag queen superstar of international standards. She’ll be flipping her weave and powdering your puff in the main room, while tag team duo Beauty & The Beast aka DJs Tim Brown and Johnni P will be playing support. Open from 9pm until 3am.

Sunday is time for some High Tea at The Court Hotel with Funkin’ Sundays. There’s no better way to start your Sunday session than with some nibbles and champagne and hostess Madame Clit-O. For $35 a person you can be a lady who likes to munch on such treats as cinnamon escargot, scones, or possibly even poached chicken, pesto and aioli sandwiches. Upgrade to either a Royal or Majestic Tea and indulge in a little bubbly. Kicks off from 2pm with a band from 4pm and a DJ from 7pm. Pass the tea, dear.

Boys will be boys. And nowhere is that more evident than at Connections, particularly this Easter Sunday when the men take over the place. It’ll be a sweat-fest the likes of which will have the testosterone pumping and gushing. Mmmmmm, gushing. Speaking of gushing, on the tables in the main room are DJs Seb Sharp, JJ and Johnni P while out on The Terrace DJs Rob and Scout will be mopping up the mess with some downright macho tunes. Get wet this Easter. Doors open 9pm, close 2am.

Ash Baroque. The man is a maniac. He’s outrageous and over the top and out there and then some. He’s wrong in so many ways. He’s glamorous without trying, chic without knowing and unintentionally endearing. He towers without having to wear heels and is sure to intrigue audiences when he appears at his gendermess best at Connections Nightclub on Saturday April 10. Doors open 10pm. Mayhem all not.

Yeeeha. Saturday April 17 is Shameless: Wild West. Get out your chaps and get ready to tumbleweed through the club. Cowpoke your way on to the dancefloor and line dance next to some purty cowboys, Dixie chicks and cowgirls. Get your Native American on and rustle up a good time. You could even throw in a dash of steam punk and do it old school locomotive style, with 10-gallon hats, bowlers, neck scarves and so much dust you’ll think you’re at a Fat Fighters party. DJs on the night include DJs Cinnamon, JJ, Brian Edwards and Rob, Mandy and Joby out on The Terrace. Get yourselves 250 smackeroos for the best costume. Yeeeha!

OMG, it’s gonna be all over TMZ. I mean like, hire an Escalade and fall out of it while wearing no knickers, it’s gonna be that kinda party. Like, totes. That’s right folks – it’s Gay Prom, Hollywood Style. Sunday April 25 is gonna see The Court Hotel explode with paparazzi and red carpet wannabes. Dress Hollywood or Formal and get ready to dance under the mirrorball as live band Retro belt out all your Gay Prom hits. Tickets are only $10 presale with prizes for the queens and kings.

Girls, get ready to get your girl thing on when Lick hits Connections Nightclub on Sunday April 25. Doors open 8pm and will feature the likes of Moosh, Cinnamon, Milly, Hustler, Curlee and Michy T on the decks. Oh, and there will be a spot of Lesbian Mud Wrestling. It’s going to be big… and wet… and all tongue.

Now run along and cause some trouble… and don’t forget to tell mOther all about it.
