Indie rockers Spiderbait have announced a national tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their landmark album Ivy and the big apples.
They’ve tapped some other 90s legends to join them too. In Brisbane Tumbleweed with be there, The Meanies will join them in Perth, and the Melbourne show involves Magic Dirt. The Meanies will return for their outing in Adelaide, and then Tumbleweed will be on the bill for the Sydney Show.
Kicking off on Saturday 4 July at Brisbane’s The Tivoli, the band will head to Perth on Saturday 11 July for a show at The Ice Cream Factory. The tour will travel on to Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney.
Frontier members can access presale tickets from 12 noon (local time) on Thursday 16 April, before tickets go on sale at 1pm (local time) on Friday 17 April.

Featuring standout track Buy Me A Pony, which became the first Australian song to take the crown in triple j’s prestigious Hottest 100, the record captured the raw, youthful spirit of the time while pushing the boundaries of the local music scene. A fearless mix of punk, pop and alternative rock, the album cemented Spiderbait as one of Australia’s most important bands of the 90’s.
The band have put out seven studio albums over their career, their last offering was a self titled album that arrived in 2013.
