Once again we are inviting individuals, community groups and professionals to Bake Off for a chance to win SWEET prizes. Whether you’re already a ganache guru or have sweet decorating dreams, there’s a category to suit you. Enter your creation in Best Decorated Cake or, in celebration of International Day Against Homophobia & Transphobia (IDAHo, May 17th) we will also be looking for the Most Inspirational IDAHo Themed Cake.

There are also new categories including the Best Tasting Sweet Baked Good – Healthy Choice Category and the Vegan Cake Category sponsored by the Animal Rights Advocates Inc. All entries will have the chance to win Best In Show. We are also asking professional bakers to enter our new Professionals Cupcakes category and students to enter our Students’ Best Decorated category.

Bake Off entries will be judged by a panel including Channel 10’s Narelda Jacobs, former Pride Patrons Mark Reid and Aram Hosie, The Court Hotel’s Bree Maddox and Anthony Georgeff – Editor of Spice Magazine.

Ms Mabel is back to host SWEET again and guests will be treated to entertainment by David Gray & Rebecca Daniels throughout the afternoon. Plus there’s the chance to win prizes in the GLCS Raffle and Best Dressed for the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party!

Cakes will be on sale to raise much needed funds so if you don’t want to make a cake yourself, grab a tasty treat to take home. Or you could join the kids in the Cupcake Corner, thanks to My Yummy Vice, to get some cupcake decorating tips!

For registration and full details go to www.sweetbakeoff.com and become a Facebook fan of ‘SWEET Bake Off’ http://tinyurl.com/sweetbakeoff or invite your friends to the ‘SWEET Bake Off 2010’ Facebook event!

Proceeds from SWEET go to Gay & Lesbian Community Services (GLCS).
