The show was created with funding from a Pozible campaign. which raised over $27,000 to film the first episode. The producers hope to pitch the show to TV networks.

The school yard drama is set in a suburban Australian High School and is reminiscent of classic show’s like ‘Heartbreak High’, ‘Degrassi Snr High’ and the long running British show ‘Grange Hill’ – except it’s all set in the modern day.

In the first episode sixteen year old Ben is anxious to meet his mystery online boy-crush while best friend Evie agonises over her body image and crippling desires. Their foil Karly, a rambunctious tomboy, reveals her singing talents with an all-too-appropriate cover of Missy Higgins’ “Secret”. Hedley High newcomer Ethan intrigues them all.
