Film: The Way

(PG) Directed by Emilio Estevez.

While Charlie Sheen has been getting all the media attention for being an idiot, the rest of his family seem to be quietly getting on with more interesting endeavours. His brother, Emilio Estevez, known for his acting roles in The Breakfast Club, The Outsiders and Young Guns, has written and directed his fourth film. It is the third time that his legendary father has collaborated with him and Martin Sheen stars as an American doctor Tom who goes to France after his son Daniel (acted by Emilio Estevez) is killed in an accident. Filmed on the historical pilgrimage known as the Camino de Santiago, The Way is an inspirational film that captures what it must be like for those who undertake the walk. Tom is inspired by the need to get to know his son better and grieve for his passing but he is joined by three other travellers with vastly different motivations.
