Both films are based on novels by author Alice Hoffman, who has now written multiple follow ups to the 1995 original Practical Magic, including The Rules of Magic, Magic Lessons and The Book Of Magic – where the sequel film draws its story.

Practical Magic 2 is set 25 years after the original film, returning to the Owens family as they uncover a shocking secret about their family history.

The original cast is joined by Joey King as a new member of the family, Lee Pace, Xolo Maridueña and Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams.

Check out the teaser below ahead of the film’s release this September.
