Troye Sivan’s new album She’s the Best arrives tomorrow, and the video for new track FF will also be released.
In a post on Instagram, Sivan reflected on the upcoming video, saying, “somehow made the gayest music video of my career”.
A brief snippet of the clip appears to show Sivan and a male model in a shower, followed by two shots of them in an outdoor setting. The teaser gives fans little indication of what the video’s storyline or overall concept might be.
Throughout his career, Sivan has kept his sexuality at the forefront of his creative work, from the romantic trilogy of videos accompanying his debut album to more overt offerings, including the title track from his second album, Bloom.
On his third album, Something to Give Each Other, Sivan appeared in drag for One of Your Girls, flashed his underwear in the video for Got Me Started, and posed nude for promotional imagery associated with the release.
So far, there have been two singles released from the new album. The title track arrived with a video featuring Sivan in drag alongside an appearance from Nicole Kidman. The second single, Party, was accompanied by a medieval-themed video that featured Sivan alongside a male model.
Sivan made a surprise appearance at Charli XCX’s Austin City Limits performance on the weekend, where he performed Party and also gave new track Le Boy its live debut.
