The Western Australian Government has announced 17 successful recipients of the LGBTIQA+ Inclusion Grants.
The grants will fund initiatives that work with and for LGBTIQA+ people and communities, helping to build a safer and more inclusive WA. This aligns with the priority areas of Western Australia’s first whole-of-government LGBTIQA+ Inclusion Strategy 2025–2035.
Announced on the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), the government said the grants and IDAHOBIT serve as a reminder that members of WA’s LGBTIQA+ community still face discrimination, stigma, and exclusion that affect their everyday lives, safety, and wellbeing.
The grants range from $2,300 to $10,000 and have been awarded to projects in the metropolitan area, as well as several statewide initiatives, and projects being launched in the South West, Great Southern, Kimberley, Mid West, and Peel regions.

Youth Minister Hannah Beazley said the government was committed to supporting LGBTIQA+ communities.
“The Cook Labor Government is committed to a Western Australia where all people are included and free from discrimination and social exclusion.
“The LGBTIQA+ Inclusion Grants will fund projects that work with and for LGBTIQA+ people and communities to build a safer and more inclusive WA,” the minister said.
“The successful projects will deliver initiatives aligned with advancing the objectives of the LGBTIQA+ Inclusion Strategy.
“I stand with those acknowledging IDAHOBIT today and celebrate the diversity and contribution of LGBTIQA+ people living across WA.”
