Parsons and Todd Spiewak tied the knot at The Rainbow Room in New York, the news was first reported at Page Six. The couple have been together for over 14 years. Spiewak is an art director.

The actor came out in a 2012 interview when he confirmed he’d been in a relationship for more than a decade. The interview was highlighted as a watershed moment, when celebrities noting that they were gay was no longer treated as a major announcement by the media.

Parsons plays awkward research physicist  Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory, a role that’s brought his a stack of accolades.

He made his Broadway debut in 2011 appearing in Larry Kramer’s play The Normal Heart. He reprised his role as Tommy Boatwright in the film adaptation.
