The actor and DJ made the accusation on social media platform Threads where she was responding to a post about the singer’s reaction to Justin Bieber’s set at the Coachella Music Festival.

“Katy Perry sexual assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a shit what she thinks,” Rose wrote.

Rose went on to describe an alleged incident where she said she was resting in the nightclub with her head on a friend’s lap.

She saw me ‘resting’ on my best friends lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her.”

“After it I threw up on her, I told the story publicly but changed it to be a ‘funny little drunk story’ because I didn’t know how else to handle it,” Rose said.

After followers ask for more details Rose said the incident had occurred around two decades ago and said Perry had later assisted her to secure a US visa, and she’d kept the incident secret.

“I was only in my early 20s,” Rose alleged. “I’m now 40. It has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly. Though I am so grateful to have made it long enough to find my voice, it just shows how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes. Thank you for seeing me.”

Perry’s team hit back with a denial of the accusation.

“The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous reckless lies. Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named.”

Ruby Rose first gained prominence as a host on MTV Australia, after a career as a model. Her multi-faceted career as seen her work as a musician, DJ, actor, designer and TV host. She memorably played inmate Stella Carlin in the third series of Orange is the New Black and starred in the TV series Batwoman. Rose left the show after a single season and the role was recast.
