Russell Tovey to Star in Drama about Australian Convicts

English actor Russell Tovey, who plays Kevin in queer US television series ‘Looking’, is set to feature in an upcoming BBC drama about a group of convicts who’ve been exiled to Australia in the 18th century.

The series, entitled ‘Banished’ has been described by the BBC as exploring “the lives, loves, relationships and battle for survival of a group of convicts, the soldiers who guard them and the men who govern them in the early days of this settlement.”

The series will reportedly also include actors MyAnna Buring of ‘Downtown Abbey’ and Julian Rhind-Tutt of ‘Green Wing’.
