Peace made the announcement on Friday via Twitter that her wife had given birth to a healthy baby girl.

Peace today tweeted that the couple decided to name the child Annie Mary Peace, and that the family were safe and sound at home.

Peace is well known for her portrayal of Police Detective Sam Murray in the British TV series ‘Lip Service’, about a group of queer women living in Glasgow. She also plays English teacher Nikki Boston in school drama ‘Waterloo Road’.

Peace is also a musician and has released two original albums. Last year she performed at the Fly By Night Club in Fremantle and spoke to OUTinPerth about her music and acting careers. Our interview with Peace can be found here.

Peace and Dickinson entered a civil partnership in 2013, which they converted into a marriage last year when it became legal to do so in the United Kingdom.
