PrideFEST event applications close this week

Pride Parade

Applications to host events or perform at this year’s PrideFEST are coming to a close this Friday, so this is your last chance to get involved in WA’s biggest LGBTIQ Pride celebrations.

Event applications are open to artists, performers and community groups who are interested in staging an event during the 17-day, city-wide festival.

2015’s Silver City theme – marking 25 years of Pride in WA – is a celebration of the Western Australian LGBTQIA+ community, with a focus on arts and culture from a west coast perspective.

Silver City Pride will also look back on the strong relationship between Perth’s queer community, PrideWA and the long-standing support of Perth and Vincent City Councils.

“In our 25th year, we are aiming to showcase more than 100 arts, culture and community events,” PrideWA President Andrew Barker said, “Including the Pride Parade and Urban Orchard after party in Northbridge.”

Applications for PrideFEST can be made online here until Friday September 4th.

PrideFEST begins Friday November 6th and closes Sunday November 22nd.
