Battling it out against 12 other models, Lamers has successfully out-modelled the other girls to triumph in The Netherlands’ tenth season of the reality show.

The Top Model franchise also raised the public profile of trans model Isis King, who impressed the judges in cycle 11, returning for ‘America’s Next Top Model: All Stars’ years later.

The original US version of the show is due to be cancelled after the current season, as revealed by host Tyra Banks in a tweet earlier this month.

The final US cycle continues the show’s history of LGBTIQ representation, with openly pansexual contestant Nyle Di Marco making his way to the final six.
