Prince William will appear in the July edition of ‘Attitude’ magazine and is expected to speak about his support for programs that stop bulling of children who are gender and sexuality diverse.

On Tuesday the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the US embassy in London and signed the condolence book for victims of the shooting in Orlando.

It was during his trip to the embassy that the prince told a staff member of his upcoming appearance.

The team at Attitude have held back on sharing any details of the prince’s appearance in the magazine but have promised to release more details before the July issue comes out next week.

A spokesman for the LGBT Foundation in London said the Prince’s signing of the condolence book and appearance in the nation’s best known gay magazine would be warmly welcomed.

“What it shows is why it’s important – because there has not been that many times when the LGBT community has been mentioned or highlighted by the royal family – with it being a younger heir to the throne who is understanding of diverse communities.

“The fact that he has agreed to be in Attitude and signing books of condolences for the Orlando massacre, shows the importance of reaching out to the LGBT community.” the spokesperson said.

The July issue of Attitude magazine will be the final issue put together by editor Matthew Todd who is stepping down after eight years in the role. Todd has been a writer for the magazine since 1996.
