Girl group Fifth Harmony might need to consider a name change. Camila Cabello has announced that she’s leaving the group after four years.

The remaining members have announced that they’ll be continuing on as a foursome, which leaves then with an odd name.

“After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony,” the band said in a statement posted to their Instagram account.

The band thanked their fans and announced they’d be continuing with just the four remaining members.

“You Harmonizers have been there with us since the beginning, you’ve supported us, and with your love and support, we will continue on. That being said, we are excited to announce that we will be moving forward with the four of us- Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui for our fans. We are four strong, committed women who will continue with Fifth Harmony as well as our solo endeavors.”

There had been rumours of disagreements within the band over the last year.

The band formed on the American version of the TV show X-Factor. They came third in the show’s second season competition. The band have released two albums and had hits with Work from Home, Boss and Worth It.

Cabello has also released solo tunes collaborating with Shawn Mendes and Machine Gun Kelly.

Is it best to be the first member out of a girl group or boy band? Dianna Ross left The Supremes, Robbie Williams left Take That, Brian McFadden abandoned Westlife, Geri Halliwell left The Spice Girls and Siobihan Fahey departed Bananarama to become Shakespear’s Sister.
