The photographer describes the From This Day Forward as a project that presents the personal aspect of an issue that is often lost in the obscure and divisive political debate.

“As our Government prepares to ask the Australian people if the rights of all couples to be married should be included in the Australian Marriage act, a number of couples in same-gender relationships have shared their stories and experiences.

“Ultimately, this exhibition documents love, and it represents hope. Not only as a statement, but as a positive example to everyone. These couples are a vision of humanity which, I hope, will promote acceptance, and provide positive role models.” the photographer said describing the project on Facebook.

The exhibition can be seen this evening, 17th September, at Old Faithful at 86 King St Perth, afterwards it will be published online to reach as wide an audience as possible.

If you’ve received your postal ballot for marriage equality from the ABS your encouraged to bring it along and fill it out with other people at the event.
