The clip for Ryan O’Shaughnessy’s Together features a gay couple walking through the streets of Dublin, breaking into contemporary dance, to tell the story of fading love.

O’Shaughnessy came to prominence as a contestant on the TV show Britain’s Got Talent in 2012, he also appear on the The Voice of Ireland. He also had a career as a child actor appearing on a well known Irish soap opera.

Ireland have a good track  record at Eurovision, and have won the competition more times than any other country. They made their Eurovision debut in 1965 and have taken out the top spot seven times. Their last win was in 1996 with Eimear Quinn singing The Voice.

So far this decade they’ve done well with performances from Jedward in 2011 and 2013, and Ryan Dolan in 2013, but for the last four years they’ve failed to make it to the finals.

Eurovision is on from May 9th – 13th and will be broadcast on SBS in Australia.
