Kylie Minogue has taken fans on a nostalgic trip during her performance for a BBC concert in London’s Hyde Park teaming up with Rick Astley and former flame Jason Donovan.

Kylie delivered a stripped down version of her classic hit I Should Be So Lucky, before launching into Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up. Music fans then got a surprise when Astley joined her on stage for a duet.

As he sang “We’ve known each other for so long”, Kylie responded “since about 1987”. Back then it was often joked that if you played Kylie’s I Should Be So Lucky at 33rpm instead of 45rpm on a turntable it sounded exactly like Rick Astley.

After singing the mash-up of their 1980’s hits Astley joined Kylie for a performance of her hit Kids singing the part originally performed by Robbie Williams.

Kylie also performed Especially for You her duet with Jason Donovan, with Donovan making a surprise appearance towards the end of the song.
