The World's Best: RuPaul and Drew Barrymore to judge new talent competition

A new reality TV competition from The Voice and American Idol creators Mike Darnell and Mark Burnett is on its way.

CBS have revealed the new show entitled The World’s Best will feature talent from every genre, and will welcome international contestants to the American competition.

Late night host James Corden will be doing double duty as the host of the new program while RuPaul, Drew Barrymore and country superstar Faith Hill will be sitting on the judges panel.

“It’s only fitting that The World’s Best perform in front of the world’s best,” CBS Senior Vice President of Alternative Programming said of the casting.

“James, Drew, Faith and RuPaul are all amazing talents who have excelled in their respective fields on a global scale. We can’t wait for them to bring their distinct voices to a show that’s unlike any other.”

The show seems to share some similarities with Seven’s latest reality venture All Together Now, which has singing competitors compete for the approval of 100 music experts. The World’s Best is set to have a collection of 50 entertainment experts to help the judges decide who will take the title.

The World’s Best is set to air in 2019.
